Article 5

Standard

As of today, FNA has our Article 5 letter in hand.
Several things will happen before we get any updates:
The letter will be translated and go through a quick legalization process.
A package will be submitted to the MOJ.
An adoption consent will be prepared and sent to the minister.
The minister will sign the consent and send it back to have the court decree prepared.
The court decree will be prepared and sent to the minister.
The minister will sign. Final Signature.
The MOJ will move the file over to Sofia City Court.
Gabriel’s case will be assigned a judge.
And finally we will get an update when:
Gabriel’s judge assigns a court date.

I’m hoping to see this by mid September.

It will be a long 2 months.

  1. Just wanted to say thank you for taking the time to blog about this whole process. I just spent this whole evening working backwards through most of your posts. I just started the process to adopt from Bulgaria and am grateful for the insights/info here. I’m sure I will be returning to your blog at each stage of the process for more support as I go through this journey.

  2. I also just started the process to adopt from Bulgaria and am grateful for your blog. Thanks for taking the time to do this!
